Words of Encouragement for Parents
Five positive things to say instead of “it looks like you have your hands full”
I was talking with a friend about how often we hear this phrase as moms of multiples. It reminded me of this list I journaled months ago after hearing some variation of “wow, your hands look full”
I know it is said with the best intentions. Rather than stating the obvious try lifting the parent up through encouragement!
Here are a few things I feel most parents would rather hear:
You’re a great mom/dad
I hope you have a wonderful day
Your children are beautiful / kind / intelligent
You’re doing a good job balancing everything
Your children are so fortunate to have you
