Sapphire Point Overlook Trail

Today i’m sharing one of my absolute favorite hikes so far in Colorado! This one is truly a gem + I recommend it to everyone that visits. It’s an extremely inclusive trail, great for hikers of all skill levels!

📍Sapphire Point Overlook Trail

Location: Dillon, Colorado

Distance: 0.6 miles

Style: Loop

Level of Difficulty: Easy Peasy

Elevation Change: 36 ft

Terrain:

The trail is very well maintained and wide enough for two. Some areas are bumpy but for the most part it’s flat. It is mild enough for toddlers!

What to See:

We go for stunning views of the Dillon Reservoir & friendly chipmunks. I’m talking some of the best views in Summit County!!

Tips:

• Comfortable shoes & clothes are the only required “gear”

• If you have a nice camera you won’t regret bringing it along

• The trail is only partly shaded so we always prepare for sun

• It’s a very very popular trail! If you want to avoid people I recommend going at odd times - weekday mornings are my favorite. Sunset is also gorgeous!

• Cell signal is available

• There is a parking lot + bathroom facilities at the trailhead

• Please do not feed the chipmunks as they are wild animals!!
